Using 1st and 3rd gears only, the 911 limped to Birmingham for it’s first ever cars and coffee event. Here are my assortment of pictures from Saturday!

This picture was awful, sorry.

I parked next to the two-door counterpart of my first car!! :3

Not sure what this was, but it was something I’d imagine Batman would drive in the 30s

Rally car!

Then the sexiest Lambo since the Countach(IMO) showed up. Much gawking and pictures were had and taken. It truly is a work of awesomeness.

And dat sport exhaust....Damn.

Red interior is sex.

A freaking 911R!! Whether not it’s the real deal, I do not know; but given who the owner is and his collection(more on that at a later time), I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the actual one of 20 cars.

Afterwards, I got brunch with friends.

Is that a V badge? Too bad they didn’t do an LS and a Super LS like the CTS and CTS-V. Such a shame for such a cool car!

Man, I had a chance to pick up and SC for $10 a few years back. I really wish I had, but alas I didn’t and I kick myself every time I see an air cooled. Smoking or not, running or not, you are one lucky SOB! Hope you get that figured out. Any idea whats wrong?

Hoping the shifter and or linkages just need an adjustment, or the shifter coupler bushings are completely worn. If it’s actually the trans.....well.........(o_O)

Im not poo pooing it. Its just you put the amazing Vette chassis under a great hard drop top body and you put in a heavy, under powered motor that requires a mid-block reseal. I just feel the XLR would have been more popular if it had had a better engine.

Because I haven’t finished working on the 944. The door handles are off, no locks, and had I driven it and left it at work while it rained afterwards, water would have filled the door panels. I might take it out tonight, but it kind looks like a mess currently. I need the door handles rebuilt before I can put them back in, that should happen on Monday.

Even so, had the 944 been finished, I probably still would have taken the 911 either way. I’m gonna check the shifter linkages and coupler bushing later.

Oh that’s an easy one! We have a slightly oil leak at the bottom of the engine, it’s hitting the headers.

I'm so jealous. I've seen two 350's but not one R. Also I love it in DIB. Some white stripes and the electronics package and that's perfect. Because I want my A/C in Texas. Or yellow instead of DIB...
